Google Chrome 24.0.1297.0 released to Dev Channel

Google Chrome Dev Channel Update (October 16, 2012)
Google Chrome Dev channel has been updated to version 24.0.1297.0 for Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome Frame platforms. This update fixes a number of the known stability issues from previous release. This release also contains an updated version of JavaScript engine V8 - 3.14.4.1 and updated version of WebKit 537.16 along with other updates and improvements.

Note: If you’re running the Windows 8 Enterprise trial version, you’ll be able to try Chrome in Metro mode by setting it as your default browser.

  • Updated V8 - 3.14.4.1
  • Updated WebKit - 537.16
  • Fixed tab character in text field when pressed Tab in a tag. (Issue: 149859)

  • [r161874] Fixed a bug where Chrome would fail to quit if at least two windows were open and  a page had a beforeunload handler (Issue: 118424)
  • Fixed browser hang when webcam used on facebook with OSX flapper. (Issue: 152757)
