Mozilla Firefox 30.0 Beta 9 Now Available for Download

Mozilla has released Firefox 30.0 Beta 9 for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android. Firefox 30.0 Beta includes a number of improvements supposed to enhance the browsing experience for users and enable Developers to create faster Web apps and websites. This new beta also added support for GStreamer 1.0.

  • Firefox 30.0 Final is scheduled to be released on June 10, 2014.

What's new features in Firefox 30.0 Beta?
Firefox 30.0 Beta has the following changes:

New:
  • Support for GStreamer 1.0.
  • Mac OS X command-E sets find term to selected text.
  • Sidebar button gives easier access to social, bookmark, & history sidebars.

Changed:
  • Disallow calling WebIDL constructors as functions on the web.

Developer:
  • Mute and volume available per window when using WebAudio.
  • background-blend-mode enabled by default.
  • Use of line-height allowed for <input type="reset|button|submit">.
  • ES6 array and generator comprehensions implemented.
  • Error stack now contains column number.
  • With the exception of those bundled inside an extension or ones that are whitelisted, plugins will no longer be activated by default.
  • Support for alpha option in canvas context options.
