Work Folders is now available on Windows 7 client

Work Folders is now available for Windows 7 users. This download lets you set up Work Folders on a Windows 7 PC and use it to access your work files on file servers.

Details
Work Folders is a place to store your work files so that you can open them from all computers and devices, even when you are offline. It enables you to use a Windows 7 computer to access your Work Folders if the following conditions are true:
  • Your organization offers Work Folders, and has set it up for your domain account.
  • You have a Windows 7 computer that is joined to your organization's domain.

System Requirements
Supported Operating System
  • Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate

Other requirements:
  • A domain account set up with Work Folders
  • A Windows 7 PC joined to your work domain
  • Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Note: To use Work Folders on a PC that’s not joined to your work’s domain, you must upgrade to Windows 8.1.
