Google Chrome 36.0 Stable Now Available for Download

Google has released Google Chrome 36.0.1985.125 to the Stable channel for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. Google Chrome 36.0 Stable includes a number of fixes and improvements. This release also fixes 26 security issues along with a number of crashes and other bugs.

What's new in Google Chrome 36.0?
Google Chrome 36.0 contains a number of fixes and improvements, including:
  • Rich Notifications Improvements.
  • An Updated Incognito/Guest NTP design.
  • The addition of a Browser crash recovery bubble.
  • Chrome App Launcher for Linux.
  • Lots of under the hood changes for stability and performance.

The first two of the changes listed above refer to mainly visual changes. Notifications have been slightly tweaked with a flatter look and new icons. The incognito icon has changed from the small face icon to a large icon with no face and only glasses and hat.


Chrome 36 also includes several new developer features such as element.animate(), HTML Imports and Data-binding with Object.observe() to help developer make richer, more compelling web content and apps, especially for mobile devices.
