Download VMware Player 7.1.2


VMware Player has been updated to version 7.1.2 Build 2780323. This new release includes some bug fixes. Additionally, the following issues were resolved in VMware Player 7.1.2:
  • Using audio conferencing software on a Windows 8 guest operating system caused a severe echo during both video and audio calls.
  • Could not access Help from Virtual Machine Settings dialog box.

Overview
VMware Player is a free desktop virtualization software application makes it easy to create and run virtual machines on a Windows or Linux PC. It can also run existing virtual machines created by VMware Workstation, VMware Fusion, VMware Fusion Professional or VMware vSphere.

VMware Player is free for personal non-commercial use. If you would like to learn about Virtual Machines or use them at home you are welcome to use VMware Player for free of charge. Students and Faculty of accredited educational institutions can use VMware Player for free if they are members of the VMware Academic Program.

The VMware Player user interface is designed to be as easy to use as possible. It is intended for people who need to run virtual machines, typically provided to them by their IT organization, system administrator, instructor, software supplier etc.

VMware Player 7 adds a number of new OS support including Windows 10 Technical Preview. It also includes a new version of  Hardware versions that brings a new virtual hardware functionality and new features while enabling VMware to run legacy operating systems in virtual machines. Note: VMware Workstation 11.x and Player 7.x Pro require 64 bit processor and 64 bit host operating systems for advanced computing and enhanced performance. While 32 bit operating systems are supported inside virtual machines.
