Firefox 45.0.2 [Update]

Firefox 45.0.2 is now available for download and all existing users should be able to upgrade to it automatically (Menu > Help menu > About Firefox). According to release notes this release contains the following:
  • Fixed an issue impacting the cookie header when third-party cookies are blocked.
  • Fixed a web compatibility regression impacting the srcset attribute of the image tag.
  • Fixed a regression with the copy and paste with some old versions of some Gecko applications like Thunderbird (Desktop only).
  • Fixed a crash impacting the video playback with Media Source Extension.
  • Fixed a regression impacting some specific uploads.

--- March 16, 2016 ---
Firefox 45.0.1 is now available for download and all existing users should be able to upgrade to it automatically (Menu > Help menu > About Firefox). According to release notes this release contains the following:
  • Fixed a potential performance regression (Youtube for example)
  • Fixed a regression causing search engine settings to be lost in some context
  • Bring back non-standard jar: URIs to fix a regression in IBM iNotes
  • XSLTProcessor.importStylesheet was failing when was used
  • Fixed an issue which could cause the list of search provider to be empty
  • Fixed a regression when using the location bar
  • Fixed some loading issues when Accept third-party cookies: was set to Never

--- March 8, 2016 ---
Firefox 45 released
The final version of Firefox 45.0 is now available for both desktop and android users. Firefox now lets you sharing browser tab through Firefox Hello. In this version of Firefox when you click the Firefox Hello icon and invite someone to your conversation, Hello will instantly share the tab you’re viewing with them when they join. This release also includes a number of feature enhancements and security updates.

What's new features in Firefox 45.0?
According to Firefox release notes, Firefox 45.0 for desktop has the following new features and changes:

New:
  • Instant browser tab sharing through Hello
  • Tabs synced via Firefox Accounts from other devices are now shown in dropdown area of Awesome Bar when searching
  • Synced Tabs button in button bar
  • Introduce a new preference (network.dns.blockDotOnion) to allow blocking .onion at the DNS level
  • Guarani [gn] locale added

Changed:
  • Tab Groups (Panorama) feature removed

Firefox for android
According to Firefox release notes, Firefox 45.0 for android includes features enhancements that improve the browsing experience for users, here are highlights of changes in version 45.0 for android:

New:
  • Click-to-view Images option in the menu’s advanced settings lets users choose which images on the Web they download to conserve data usage
  • Provide system notification to give an End Of Life message to Android Honeycomb users
  • Add toggle to disable sharing of camera and microphone in admin UI for family friendly browsing
  • Introduce a new preference (network.dns.blockDotOnion) to allow blocking .onion at the DNS level

Changed:
  • Disable the inclusion of the URL when sharing selected text from web page
  • Optimized & re-organized app Settings
  • Replace super toasts with snackbar
  • Simplified admin UI for family-friendly browsing on tablet in restricted profile
